This organism is so amazing! Many would pay a lot for the chance to study it. I would pay a lot to stay away from it.
It was discovered sleeping on an asteroid that came from a nearby nebula (hence the name) and was subsequently captured by the old civilization for extensive study.
The containment chamber malfunctioned during the apocalypse and the imprisoned beast broke free to exact revenge on its captors.
The drake still sleeps among the shattered worlds of old. Occasionally disturbed by greedy scavengers who are swiftly given a lesson on why it is important to NOT awaken the nebula drake.
